Sonna Puriyathu Film Review Director: Krishnan Jeyaraj Casts: Shiva, Vasundhara Kashyap Music: Yathish Mahadev Language: Tamil Genre: Romantic Comedy It’s been 6 years since Shiva entered the industry but is such a wonder to sustain as a bankable star with his usual but consistent wisecracks. However, when things get successful that number of times, we can’t really blame the filmmaker to capitalize on the same winning formula. Sonna Puriyathu is yet another film that is completely banked on Shiva’s charisma and quick ripostes. So does it hit the bull’s eye this time? Synopsis Shiva (Shiva) and his group of dubbing associates lead a laidback back life with fun is the only word in their dictionary. However tings take a flip when Shiva’s mother looks for a bride (Vasunthara) to keep his leg tied and sit settled. To foil her plan, Shiva sets on a mission to stop his own marriage. But little did he know about the quirks from the other side. 

Maryan Film Review Director: Bharatbala Casts: Dhanush, Parvathy, Salim Kumar Music: A.R.Rahman Language: Tamil Genre: Romance Maryan is undeniably one of the most await ed films of this year and its victorious glory is partially sealed with having award winning casts and crew lists on its credits. However a film only gets its due credit if the audiences are ready to embrace the product wholeheartedly. Having anticipated as an experimental craft, will Maryan be able to strike its chords with the audiences? Synopsis Maryan (Dhanush) is an aggressive fisherman who worships the sea as almighty. After a bumpy emotional scuffle, he falls in love with Panimalar (Parvathy), a feisty young lady who is crazy about him since young. Meanwhile, Theekurisi (Vinayan), a local moneylender, sets his eyes on Pani and blackmails her father (Salim Kumar) to get her married to him to waive his huge debt away. To settle the debts, Maryan decides to work at Sudan for two years.

Singam 2 Film Review   Director: Hari Casts: Suriya, Anushka, Hansika, Vivek, Santhanam Music: Devi Sri Prasad Language: Tamil Genre: Action   Singam was labelled as the ‘Mother’ of masala flicks in Indian cinema due to its bullet speed screenplay and its dynamically shot action scenes. Many waived the logic defying factors and got awed by the attitude of the film. So does Singam 2 fulfil its immense responsibility to replicate the magic of it predecessor?   Synopsis After resigning officially, Durai Singam (Suriya) stays in surveillance as an NCC teacher in a school, monitoring the illegal weapon dealings at the oceans of Tutircorin. When he discovers the true names of the illegal drug dealing at Indian Ocean, Durai Singam takes charges again as DSP and how he puts the culprits behind the bars between many challenges, forms the crux of the story.   Story – Screenplay Singam 2 is nothing different from
