Will he be able to find a way out of the violence and bloodshed? REVIEW: Even the die hard fans of Gautham Vasudev Menon have been calling out on his tried and tested treatment of excessive voice overs, breezy romance and cop fall stories. Silambarasan-Gautham-ARRahman has never disappointed us but with the growing audience and surge of different stories, it is definitely a challenging time for even seasoned filmmakers to hit the bulls eye. However, I felt that Jeyamohan’s addition to this team is rather interesting because Gautham has spea

REVIEW: Rocketry, which is about 6 years in making, is Madhavan’s dream project which he is also debuting as a director after a bumpy ride as an actor over the past two decades. Rocketry is the tale of Nambi Narayanan’s remarkable career as a scientist in the Indian Space Research Orgnaisation (ISRO) and how he was subsequently treated when a false case of espionage was framed on him. Madhavan should be commended for picking a subject that not many

The film revolves around Nandhu who has been hardened by the hardship and abuses he has suffered since childhood. He is tormented by his past as he tries to forge his life forward.      REVIEW: One can be assured when entering the halls to see Parthiban’s film that they will be witnessing something that is extraordinary or unique. Some of his attempts work but some feel like a wasted, self indulgent shot. Nevertheless, he never stops trying and with his recent form with Otha Seruppu (2019), I was all thrilled to witness another different film from the veteran.  Before the actual film

How long will it be before he realizes what he is looking for is right next to him? REVIEW: Mithran R Jawahar had a fine streak of form in the early 2000s where he delivered back to back hits with Dhanush - Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008), Kutty (2010), Uthama Puthiran (2010). Though all of them were remakes, his fine handling of emotions, sharp dialogues and perfect casting was well admired by many. However, after a while, his form came to a smooth end. When this film was announced, personally I was very excited because his combination with Dhanus

But her world comes crashing down when her 60-year-old father Brahmanandam (RS Shivaji) is arrested for the gang rape of a minor girl. REVIEW: It is almost unbelievable to know that the director who made a stylistic but mediocre film, Ritchie (2017) is behind this hard hitting drama that consumes you into the world right from the first frame. The film kicks off with the protagonist, Gargi, with her colleagues in the staff room in school. They see a news report about a gang rape of a minor. When a colleague tells her that the apartment being shown on TV seems to be one in her locality, she just shrugs it off. G
